Artist's Statement and Commentary:

My name is Destinée Salvador, I’m a 21-year-old black artist born in Virginia. I would describe my art style as Afro-futuristic and feel all the characters I create resonate with me in some way. They are powerful and vivid.

The quote on the first painting answered multiple questions I would constantly always ask myself. "Who will make me happy?", "When will I be loved?", "What am I missing in my life?"

I wrote this quote without even realizing that this was the answer. It is all within, take a look inside yourself. How do you not see that any missing puzzle you feel is within? You can provide everything you feel you lack, so stop questioning who you are.
